After a few weeks of brainstorming and writing, we have a first version of the script, on March 2018, Luckily in May 2018, a courageous french woman producer, Florence Jacob, fell in love with the project. She decided to produce it with her production company Caviar Paris. Shooting is scheduled for November 2018 in the Chicago area but for budgetary reasons we had to change everything. The shooting date has been changed to September and moved to Canada. At the time of this change, we only have 3 weeks left to find all the sets and the Norh American cast.

Luckily the Canadian team was great. Very quickly, we searched with them for the costumes and sets for the film. Always in a good mood and very competent, they did a fantastic job despite the low budget of the film and the complicated weather.

It all happened so fast. It was a real race.At the end of September, we shoot 4 days (including 2 nights). The film was shoot in Asbestos, Canada (100 miles away to Vermont).

Still for budgetary reasons, post-production only starts in February 2019 and ends 5 months later in June. The film had its world premiere in New York in October 2019, during the Chelsea Film Festival. The opportunity to make the film was born in this festival (When Nicolas Won an award), it was intense to present it there (the circle is complete)

It's important to understand that in France, we don't produce films like in the USA. Most feature films and short films are financed by public funding from the Ministry of Culture and French TV channels. Normally, it's a very long process because you have to make a lot of files and go through many commissions. It takes at least 2 years to shoot a short film and much more for a feature film. But for this films we wanted to make the film like real American independent filmmakers with the same energy and passion.

Thanks again to the team ;)
